Wild Stallions Group
Subheading: Adventures in Communication, Independence, and Emotional Strength Suitable for boys aged 7 to 16 (approx.)
It’s an opportunity to come together and connect with new and familiar faces in an inclusive and safe space to share, explore, learn, support and grow. We welcome people of all backgrounds, experiences, bodies and identities.
Our theme for this program is
Wild Quest: Nature Survivor Challenges
The Wild Stallions crew has been thriving as they explore exciting new ‘survival skills’ in the outdoors. This program will offer a range of hands-on experiments aimed at expanding knowledge while strengthening key life skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, self-sufficiency and independence.
Participants will have meaningful opportunities to connect with their peers through interactive, nature-based activities, group discussions, and guided reflections, to intentionally support them to build confidence, think critically, and collaborate effectively in challenging situations.
This program is NDIS approved and will help your child practice the following skills:
Expressive and receptive language skills – following instructions, sharing experiences, and describing thoughts and emotions.
Social communication and collaboration – connecting with peers, reading cues, learning to collaborate and working as part of a team.
Self-advocacy and confidence – expressing needs, setting boundaries, and asking for support.
Emotional awareness and regulation – developing strategies for managing feelings and reactions.
Perspective-taking and empathy – understanding the experiences of others, including both people and animals.
Connection with nature and the outdoors – using sensory and experiential learning to build trust and mindfulness.
