OUR APPROACH

Each client is unique so learning and therapeutic goals are tailored to the individual.

Sessions may be room-based therapy or may be an Equine Assisted Therapy session, depending on the client’s needs and desires.

Every Therapeutic journey is unique, and our practitioners work with each client to develop their individualised therapeutic goals and design their sessions to meet those needs. At times, these therapeutic goals may involve building capacity in various functional areas, for others there may be more specific mental health challenges that require assessment and treatment and some people are looking to recover from trauma.

Our social workers are experienced, knowledgeable and are committed to ongoing clinical training to continue to develop their skills and expertise so we can deliver professional services in ways which are mindful, relational, trauma informed and developmentally sensitive.

Our social workers are also both trained and certified with the Equine Psychotherapy Institute of Australia. We each work with our own herd of safe and healthy horses, offering clients opportunities for personal growth and development. Working alongside horses might include herd observations, grooming experiences, leading activities, working with horses at liberty and where clinically appropriate, we can offer mounted sessions with the horses also.
